Instructions
Carefully follow the instructions for preparing this medicine before injection.
Read and make sure you understand the instructions for measuring your dose and using the syringe before using this medicine.
The medicine needs to be mixed before being injected.
Always inspect the medicine before using.
Do not use the medicine if it contains any particles or if it has changed color.
Keep at room temperature until mixing. Refrigerate any extra mixed medicine until ready to use it.
Keep the medicine in its original container.
Protect medicine from light.
Never use any medicine that has expired.
Discard any remaining medicine after your dose is given.
Discard any unused, mixed medicine after 72 hours in the refrigerator.
This medicine should be given by a trained health care provider.
Use this medicine at the same time each day.
Space doses evenly to keep a steady amount of medicine in the body.
If you miss a dose, contact your doctor for instructions.
Drug interactions can change how medicines work or increase risk for side effects. Tell your health care providers about all medicines taken. Please tell your doctor if you have moderate to severe diarrhea while on this medicine. Do not treat the diarrhea with over-the-counter diarrhea medicine.
Tell the doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Ask your pharmacist how to properly throw away used needles or syringes.
Do not share this medicine with anyone who has not been prescribed this medicine.
Side Effects
The following is a list of some common side effects from this medicine. Please speak with your doctor about what you should do if you experience these or other side effects.
- diarrhea
- headaches
- pain, redness, swelling near injection
- vomiting
Call your doctor or get medical help right away if you notice any of these more serious side effects:
- blurry vision
- confusion
- severe, watery or bloody diarrhea
- dizziness or drowsiness
- feeling of heat or flushing
- numbness or tingling in hands and feet
- fast or irregular heart beats
- irritability
- signs of kidney damage (such as change in urine color or bubbly urine)
- mood changes
- new or worsening movement problems
- feeling of numbness or tingling, especially around the lips and mouth
- seizures
- severe stomach or bowel pain
- blood in stool
- yeast infection of mouth
- unusual or unexplained tiredness or weakness
- unsteadiness while walking
- dark urine
- vaginal itching or yeast infection
- weakness
- yellowing of the eyes
A few people may have an allergic reaction to this medicine. Symptoms can include difficulty breathing, skin rash, itching, swelling, or severe dizziness. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek medical help quickly.
