Our Blue Cross Vermont fully-trained pharmacists are here to help you navigate your patient’s specific needs when it comes to their medications. Through our academic detailing service, you have a pharmacist standing by to answer questions and help you problem solve when it comes to medication use, contraindications, prescribing guidelines, and other common concerns.
How We Can Help
Through this service, our pharmacists are here to provide objective, focused support when and how you need it. We work directly with you to help you with patient-specific clinical decisions, academic detailing, and prescribing guidelines. In addition, we can support you through:
- Written communications: We provide you with up-to-date information on new drugs, guidelines, and disease management that includes patient information specific to your practice. We will send these communications to you via fax, email, and phone.
- Webinars: Our webinars connect you with other local and national experts and provide details on timely topics.
- Personalized presentations: We provide your practice with personalized continuing education, academic detailing and learning opportunities based on your patients and their specific needs, and we review data and create action plans for your patient panels.
- Patient-specific plans: We work 1:1 with your patients and provide them with medication and lifestyle management tips and best practices. We also create action plans for you to review with your patients.

Meet Amy Stoll - Clinical Pharmacist
Our Clinical Pharmacist, Amy Stoll, PharmD, oversees the Academic Detailing and Prescription Support program. She is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist, certified diabetes educator, and has a masters degree in public health. She works with providers on specific prescription questions, drug authorizations, and patient panel projects. She can help you with a medication prior authorization, drug coverage questions, medication concerns, and other questions or issues you may have.
