Vermont Health Connect Member Payment Information
Thank you for choosing us as your health care partner. This page is dedicated to our members who have chosen one of our health plans through Vermont Health Connect (VHC). There are times when you may need to contact both Blue Cross VT and VHC. The information below outlines who you would contact based on your health plan needs.
Who to Contact
For the following updates and changes for your health plan, please contact Vermont Health Connect at (855) 899-9600.
- Enrolling in a health plan to qualify for financial help
- Demographic changes, such as name and address
- Updates to household income and size
- Subsidy information
- Changes/Corrections to your account (cancel, add/remove family members, effective date)
- Changes to your premium rate
Vermont Health Connect updates and changes for enrollments, premium rates, subsidies, and member information take 3 to 5 business days for Blue Cross VT to receive.
- Invoices are mailed at the beginning of each month, with the payment due date of the 26th of each month. Invoices are for the upcoming month of your health plan benefits – i.e., your June premium will be billed in May and is due on May 26.
- Note: If your policy’s effective date is prior to the upcoming month, we will invoice multiple months of premium in your first invoice. For example, if your policy begins in May and we send your first invoice in May, your first invoice will include both May’s and June’s premiums.”
- A paperless option is available online. You must receive your first invoice before enrolling in the paperless service.
We offer several convenient ways for making your premium payment. You will need your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont invoice, the recipient ID number found on the invoice, and your payment information (bank account, credit card, or debit card) to pay your bill online.
- Online payment website (monthly automatic recurring payments and one-time payments)
- Use your checking account, credit or debit card for payment (Visa, Mastercard and Discover accepted)
- Only bank accounts can be used to set up automatic recurring payments; you must create an account for the online bill payment site to set up automatic recurring payments.
- Please note that monthly premium payments cannot be accessed or made through the Member Resource Center. Members must use our online payment website through M&T Bank.

To make a payment to your account, you will leave the Blue Cross Vermont website and enter M&T Bank's online payment site. If needed, follow the directions on the page for creating an account.
- Log in or create an account with M&T Bank
- Select the gear image in the upper right corner of the webpage; when this menu opens, choose Profile Settings
- Select the Notifications tab
- Then select the Paperless Billing button
